The magazines are shipped once a month, towards the end of each month. When you subscribe, your first issue will ship in the following month. For example, if you subscribe during the month of April, your first magazine issue will ship at the end of May. Shipping times range from 1-6+ weeks depending on where you are located.
There is no digital copy of the magazine. Our intent is to highlight the work of the community through the power of the printed format. We see the magazine as an opportunity to step away from the screen and enjoy human creativity at a different pace.
For each issue, we aggregate the community’s highest-rated jobs on Midjourney into a library of 10,000 images. Our team then manually goes through this batch, hand-selecting a few hundred images that form a shortlist for the magazine. Images are selected based on a number of factors including conceptual clarity, originality, beauty, strikingness, stylistic diversity, and composition. Overall we aim to showcase a diverse range of interests and techniques that reflect our community.
We do not take direct submissions for the magazine.
To update your shipping address for the magazine, enter your magazine billing email address in the magazine subscription portal and you'll receive an email with a link to access your subscription.
The deadline to make changes to your shipping address is the last day of each month, and changes will apply to the issue that ships at the end of the following month.
Your magazine subscription is a separate subscription from your Midjourney image generation subscription. To view and manage your magazine subscription, enter your magazine billing email address in the magazine subscription portal and you'll receive an email with a link to access your subscription.

If you have not received your magazine within 6 weeks of the shipping date, contact billing@midjourney.com
The shipping date is not the same as your payment date. Issues typically ship at the end of the next month after your payment date. For example, if you paid in April, that issue will ship near the end of May.
Please be aware that we do not have the ability to re-ship undelivered magazines. If a magazine does not arrive you will be offered an account credit or a refund of your payment.

Additional inventory is listed for sale on this site. We currently only have a few issues in stock. We produce a small number of extra copies each month for free distribution in schools, stores, and community groups. Use this form to apply to our distribution list.

Please allow 5-7 days for delivery within the US. International shipping can take additional time, so please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery outside the US.
After purchasing you will receive a tracking number via email. If your book fails to arrive, please get in touch with billing@midjourney.com for a replacement or about getting a refund.
There is no digital version of the book. Midjourney Year One is a physical artifact meant to celebrate our progress as a technical team and creative community.
